Squaw Valley accommodations

Aside from the obvious resorts at Squaw, can anyone recommend a motel that is close by and perhaps less than $100/nite at this time of the year? Thanks!

The River Ranch, on the Truckee River at the entrance to Alpine Meadows, has rooms for under $100 mid-week this time of year:

The rooms under $100 are over the restaurant/bar though.

Maybe you could stay in Truckee? Is that possible?

Actually, the nicer (not over the restaurant rooms) are $95 to $110 Sunday-Thursday. So there ought to be something for $100 or less. It's worth asking.

Thanks, Everyone. We ended up staying at the Village at Squaw Valley for $129/nite and it was very nice. The beds are horrible, the sheets are polyester, and the couch is miserable....but the place itself it very, very pleasant and easy - a totaly resort with many restaurants and shops. The River Ranch is lovely, and we ate there one night to our great pleasure.
