Sq. Ft. Chart for Big Island HI Accomodations
I received a request for this info via private mail, and thought I'd copy Fodors in case anyone else is interested. Thise square footage chart is accurate as of 11/2004:

That is fascinating. Thanks. We're supposed to be staying at the FS in Sept but have the Hapuna as a back up if finances aren't good then :o)
I can't believe the lanai size difference between the 2 - 30 sq ft for the FS compared to 200 sq ft for the Hapuna? That's odd to us! The price difference is $369 a night so we would have thought the lanai would have been a bit bigger at the FS. Steve R Maryland |
Steve, rooms at the Hualalai have shallow lanais, but they're so wonderful otherwise, you probably won't mind. :) Also, there's a table and two chairs at the back of each unit; with the sliding back door open, it's essentially the same thing as having a larger lanai.
BTW lanais at the HBP are 120 sq ft, not 200. |
fdecarlo,
I was told by the Marriott staff that my room was 375 feet ~ is that a big fat lie? |
It's probably a typo in the list. I got most of these numbers from travel guides, and 275 for the Waikoloa Beach Marriott didn't sound right.. I stayed there once and 375 sounds far more likely.
