Sprint PCS Cell Phone Reception
 

Spending 3 weeks in California in August, driving along the coast from the Napa Valley down to LA. Does anyone know how Sprint PCS reception is along Highway 1? I couldn't get a good idea from the Sprint website.

I have had good luck with Sprint coverage in most places I've been. Haven't tried CA but you can go to the www.sprintpcs.com site & check their coverage area for CA.

I was out there in 2002 and 2003 and don't recall any service interruptions other than when I was in the Yosemite area. I think National Parks are purposely out of range!

I get poor or no reception from Sprint between Santa Barbara and SLO ( on the 101). And none in Big Sur.

Then again, I also get lousy reception in my living room in LA.
