Spring Break in the U.S.

Considering a trip to Disney World beginning April 11th. Can anyone tell me when Spring Break is for the U.S. I'm trying to avoid huge crowds.

Most Spring Breakers will be back in school by April 11.

College kids will be back in by the 11th but there are still grammar school vacations in April. The Northeast mainly has the week of the 21st off so you might be ok, but I'm sure there will be some there that week.

Hard to know for sure as Easter is so early this year (most spring breaks are tied to the holiday), but I think Disney is historically pretty busy the second week in April. The beginning of May is reputed to be a bit better crowds wise. We went the second week in June last year and were really surprised by how light the crowds were.

None of my kids' spring breaks or vacations has ever been tied to Easter, and they have attended public, private, and parochial schools and colleges.

You mean to tell me that they are not usually the week before, or the week after the holiday? Every school DS has attended has done it that way, although the school system I attended for Junior High and High School had it at the same time every year, regardless of both Easter and Passover.
