My husband & I are traveling to Boston 3/26-4/2 with our kids, ages 12 & 9 (both boys). Can anyone share some fun things to do, family friendly restaurants, etc. while we're there? Thanks!

Duck Tour, Museum of Science, Aquarium a side trip to Salem...will you have transportation? a trip to Sturbridge Village? Stroll the northend and pick a restaurant for great italian and then taste test cannollis from Mike's and Modern Pastry on Hanover Street.

Take a tour of Fenway Park.
Museum of Science is great.
New England Aquarium is also very good.
Walk the Freedom Trail. Particularly interesting is the USS Constitution, Old North Church and Paul Revere's House.
If your kids have study Ancient Eygpt they might be interested in the Museum of Fine Arts - lots of Eygptian artifacts.

For restaurants try Fire and Ice - there's one in the Back Bay and one in Havard Sq. The Summer Shack serves fresh seafood in a very casual setting.

And if the weather is bad and the kids need a fun activity, try going to Kings - its a hip, upscale bowling alley. Its more of a nightclub atmosphere in the evening but late afternoon there are kids there. Not sure if its available at Kings but in New England we do candlepin bowling. Small balls and different shaped pins. Its fun for kids because they can really handle the small balls well. But in general its tough because you can't knock as many pins down with one try - that's why we take 3 balls per turn.

The Duck Tour is a priority but I think the season starts on April 1st so check out availability.

Our son enjoyed the USS Constitution tour at age 11. The guide was very good and his descriptions of a sailor's life were very vivid.

Can't recommend any family friendly restaurants with a Boston theme but there's the Hard Rock Cafe and California Pizza Kitchen ...my kids like both!

My kids loved eating at Cheers....even though it's more my generation. The North End Italian restaurants are great and my daughter LOVES Fire and Ice (I haven't been there). We also loved the Duck Boat, Aquarium and the Kennedy Library. Another great place for the kids to eat is Mr. and Mrs. Watleys??? (if I'm remembering correctly)....right along Harvard's campus, and not too far from the bookstore.

We went to Boston in April a couple of years ago. We went to the science museum, did the duck tour and aquarium. I thought the aquarium did not have very much, but there is an IMAX theater there that we enjoyed. It will be chilly so dress warm! We had dinner in the North End and also in the Thanuiel(?spell) Hall area. The kids loved riding the "T" subways around town. Boston is a fun town and your kids are at great ages to enjoy!

We were there last year with our kids at the exact same time. You've gotten lots of good suggestions. Let me add the Museum of Natural History at Harvard if you are in Harvard Square and your boys like such things. We loved the Science Museum and spent quite a few hours there. The Aquarium was less fun and interesting than I expected and was very crowded even on a weekday. The Freedom Trail was fun and we especially enjoyed the Paul Revere House, which takes only a few minutes to tour. Legal Seafoods Restaurant (a local upscale chain) is good for all ages --- even the pickiest eater can find popcorn shrimp or something else to eat. And they have lobster on the kid menu!

Thanks to all for the terrific recommendations. We are crossing our fingers at this point that the weather is decent.
