Spring break 2013
 

We are planning a trip to NY next year June. Does anyone know when the Spring break is - a rough idea is fine. Thanks

"Spring break" usually refers to a time around late March through early-to-mid April. Whar are you referring to? Regardless of what dates you're talking about, I don't see their affect on a trip to New York!

Right. Spring Break is when kids have a break from school. The college kids make for crowds on beaches, but not NYC. Spring is a great time to go.

I agree, Spring Break will not effect anything in NY. You can google a few colleges and high schools and get a good idea of when it is though. Generally the 2nd and 3rd week of March for most.

Great thanks! Having never visited the States before I didn't realise that spring break wouldn't have an effect in NY. And it's good to know that weather wise it's also a good time to visit. xx

Spring break really doesn't affect NYC. Kid usually don;t have enough money to come here and very few hotels will allow those under the age of 21 to check in without an adult.

Spring is a great time to come - as long as you avoid Easter week, which is more expensive - and mobbed with local school kids - 1.1 million NYC school kids get the week after easter off.

And do check the weather - a lot of people think April is summer - and it's still early spring.
