Spokane to Seattle--need help!

We are taking a cruise out of Seattle. We couldn't use our miles to fly to Seattle so we got flights to Spokane. I need some advice on the best way to get to Seattle and then back to Spokane after the cruise. We can rent a car, but do we then keep it for the week we are cruising and pay parking or do we rent it at Spokane, drop it at Seattle, and then rent another one at Seattle to get back to Spokane? Would a train or bus be better? We have never done this so I really need some advice. Thank you!!!!

Have you checked out flight schedules between Seattle and Spokane? Horizon Air flies that route frequently. I would think that with the hassle and time factor of renting a car and driving, flying would be a lot easier.

I'd fly. It's a fairly long and boring drive imo.

If I were in this situation, I would shop for air tickets to Seattle and figure out how I can exchange the tickets to Spokane for tickets to elsewhere.

I should probably bite my tongue, but Ii can't resist observing that this sounds like a set-up for a Lucy Ricardo routine.

According to the Greyhound Bus website it takes 5-1/2 hours and costs $33.50 between Spokane and Seattle.

Sounds like your negating the money your saving by renting a car both ways, spending close to 10 hrs driving, and just generally wasting time that would have been better spent by flying into Seattle directly.
