Spirit Airlines Experiences
Trying to put a trip together that involves flying from Boston to Ft Lauderdale.
For the time of day that I wish to travel Spirit Airlines has the best schedule.
Are they for real?
Any issues more than the others?

I've been flying Spirit for several years from A/C to Myrtle Beach, with no problems at all. They do charge for all checked luggage. If you book your checked luggage on line, it's $5 a bag each way, otherwise, $10 each way.
I haven't found them any different from any other airline.

Ditto gmary post.
I have been flying out of AC and Newark to Myrtle Beach.
All seats are nice size. No frills, luggage is extra $10/bag..$5/online.
Online reservation lets you save on luggage, pick seat, etc. You have to keep checking their prices because they fluctuate from hour to hour!! My friends locked in at a good price, but by the time I got online the price had doubled! I just kept strong and waited for the price to adjust.
No Frills...but clean plane and a nice flight

We been flying on Spirit for the past 7 to 8 years. We have never had any problems. But, remember to book your luggage online ahead of time to save some money ,instead of paying for it at the airport. If I remember correctly, they only accept credit cards for it at the airport.

We refuse to fly them again unless we save at least $100 each. The service has always been rude, even for an airline and Detroit both, with the exception of the FA who very nicely suggested that I just smuggle my chapstick through security in my front pants pocket since that was what she did with her lighter every time (this was during the initial liquid ban)!!! And the last time we flew them I had jewelry stolen out of my bag (it was really cheap, but it was mine!), and the strap ripped off a bag. Also, the FLL terminal that they use only has one women's restroom with 3 stalls.
