Spirit Airlines anyone?

Has anyone flown Spirit airlines? They seem to be pretty cheap! How was your experience . . . sounds like it may be similar to Sun Country airlines . . . Thanks for any comments.
Alyssa

Yes. No problem. I'd fly them again.

Great fares; Easy web site. Average service. They aren't automated.

It reminds me of Continental years ago when they first started.

Their upgrade policy is liberal. Sometimes I was upgraded just by asking (and hanging around the gate at the last minute) - or for only $25 you can get upgraded... worth it on a long flight.
Flew Spirit once. Ok airlines... We left about 15 minutes late, but other than that they are cool. I would fly them again. They always have excellent deals.

GOL, you must be pretty old! Continental's been around for decades!

It wasn't that long ago that Continental was noted for everything bad. It was just after they took over for Peoples Express. Then, they would do anything to please customers. My favorite was always (I mean always) getting upgraded just for asking, since there were so few frequent fliers. They would also give away vouchers, usually just for a slight complaint
