Be very careful to factor in ALL the fees etc. What seems like a good deal, may in fact not be and you may be able to get better fares elsewhere.

Not me, but my relatives flown to Orlando from Atlantic city with them. They charge for check-in bags (which is common with other airlines) - BUT there is a limitation on carry-on begs as well - which is NOT common with other airlines.

So, please check their policy from their website. otherwise, its good airline. Be sure to read all restrictions before making purchase.

good luck!

I've never flown Spirit and never will due to their fee structure. I don't want to waste my time figuring out how to avoid a potential $100 carry-on fee.

Lots of airlines have varying charges for carry-on luggage, some don't.

Spirit Airlines is fine, just compare with other airlines but do the math for total costs.

I will happily "waste my time" (10 minutes?) to save money (which could be substantial, depending on the number in your party).

Every airline I know limits carry-ons. Usualy it is one modest size bag - no more than 22" - and one personal item (like a purse or computer bag). Unless the plane is empty other things have to be checked.

Have no idea of Spirit rules - but I would chcek carefully and believe them. And a purse DOES count as an item to any airline I'm aware of.

It isn't about the limitation of carry-ons with Spirit; it is the fact that they CHARGE for carry-ons.

We have flown Spirit both domestically and internationally. As others have said, you need to read EVERYTHING that is on the screen and check for ALL fees. (You may have to "uncheck" a box to keep from being charged for something, so look out for that.) If you find a fare you like, with all the extra fees, then I'd book it. We found the flights fine and knowing that they serve you NOTHING for free on the plane, we brought our own drinks and snacks.

Thanks for the reponses. I am more afraid of a cancellation. I read they do that alot and people get stranded. I can deal with paying for luggage. I won't bring a carry on. I will just check my bags and pay for that. I can bring my own drink. The flight from Pgh to MB is able 90 minutes if even that.
