Special restaurant in Chicago for 60th Birthday Celebration
 

My father and his best friend from high school will be celebrating their 60th birthdays this August when both families will be in Chicago together. I would like some restaurant recommendations for French or American restaurants for people with "foodie" tendencies. Price isn't an option. Thanks very much!

I second checking out reviews on Yelp. The current "hot" restaurant in town is Aviary. But I would suggest checking out Blackbird, Girl & the Goat, Avec, and Henri.

Oopps....I misquoted. Aviary is the lastest hotspot lounge. The restaurant is Next which ironically is located next door to the Aviary......both owned by Grant Achnatz.
