Another place that would satisfy is Capische in Wailea.

We had an outstanding dinner at SENSEI near the Ritz Carlton. It's about a 20 minute drive from the Westin Villas.

Unless you are planning a drive to the Upcountry area, I wouldn't make a special trip to Haliimaile GS when you have other great dining places in west Maui. Pacific'O, Merrimen's, Roys, Sansei, Gerard's, David Paul's Lahaina Grill, Mala are some great choices.

If you have a late flight out of Maui, I would suggest Hailiimaile for dinner and then go to the airport-- great mango margarita's. Merrimen's is wonderful and a bit more expensive, Plantation is best for breakfast (eggs benedict), Sea house is not as good as it used to be, service was awful last time we were there. Sorrento's on the Beach in Kihea/Wailea area was fabulous. Gazebo definitely for breakfast. Pacific O's and Leilani definitely for lunc. Duke's is new...on the beach north of your villa, a nice easy walk for dinner.

Enjoy!!

Hailiimaile is not as inconvenient as some are portraying and worth the drive from wherever you are coming from. Hell, I drove from Hana once to eat there and drove back that same night in a rain storm. That's pushing it, I agree, but it is not some arduous trek from Kaanapali or Wailea and worth the drive even if it is your destination. To each his/her own. Can't wait until February 20!!!!

While I have you all here :), any golf recommendations? We have tee times at both of the Lanai courses, and I want to play the Plantation at Kapalua (after that breakfast that everyone raves about!). All of the courses look beautiful.

Oh my heart misses Lanai and it's wonderful people! I have so many fond memories of talking story with the groundskeepers, hotel staff, and the gang in town.
