Spamalot question -- original cast?
 

Does anyone know how long the current cast is scheduled to do the show? I read recently, when trying to get tickets, that Hank Azaria would be gone from June to November. I was thinking of trying to go early next year, and was wonderinf if the original cast would still be there.

Does anyone know, or know how to find out?

Hank Azaria left I believe yesterday to film his Showtime show. He will be back in November. Tim Curry's contract is done in December, but I read he would like to extend it. As for the others, I don't know.

Who has taken Hank Azaria's place? I had heard rumors Robin Williams was in line for this, but have heard nothing recently.

I have to think it is his understudy. If it were Robin Williams, it would have been all over the local news. IMHO, it would make a tough ticket virtually impossible to get.

according to Telecharge it is somebody I'd never heard of, presumably his understudy.

omigosh, if it was Robin Williams, the scalper prices would go through the roof!
