I knew a lady who put two cans of Spam together, tied string around it, basted it with peach preserves, roasted it, and served it for Sunday dinner, like ham! Now that's GOURMET Spam, folks! ;-)
Here in N.C. in our large farm family, we ate it fried for breakfast with eggs, cream gravy, biscuits and sliced tomatoes on the side! YUM-YUM! :-) |
Bonniebroad: At some point, did the lady take the Spam OUT of the cans? :) (Sorry, that's just the visual picture I got.)
|
Actually, dwoodliff, my husband is the one who ate that for Sunday dinner at her house (I didn't have the pleasure!);-) We'll assume you DO remove the cans!!!:-)

I usually delete Spam.

OH.......Jayne!!! In North Carolina, we don't put boiled peanuts in the icy Coke (in my case, PEPSI!).... We pour salty peanuts out of the little pack into our drink! At least, I did.... when I was a young'un! I had a beloved sister who died a few years ago, and she LOVED that treat. So now, on her birthday, my older sister and I have this "gourmet treat" in remembrance of this terrific lady who was my sister!:-)
