Space shuttle loses Radio Contact on path to landing, explosion and debris over Texas in the sky, on the flight path. Its on News shows right now, 941am edt.

It's the Columbia. After reading your post I immediately have put on the tv. Here in Belgium we can also follow it on the screen. We have been in K Space Center last summer and now all this is touching us more than before...

I just saw this on television. What a tragedy. Space shuttle flights have come to seem almost routine. Sometimes you forget the risks involved. My heart goes out to the families of the crew.

It's overwhelming..saw the smoke path break into several streams..only hoping and praying that there are survivors. Hopefully the people in North Texas are out searching. It;s a sad day for us....again..
