MikePinTucson, if you do have some internet links about Tucson, I'd like to see them... As I said, all I know about Tucson is what I saw from the freeway on the way to LA, and I'm sure that does not represent your city.

I do remember a pretty scenic rest stop southeast of Tucson that had some striking rock formations... it was always worth a stop...

Hi xbt,

You are probably thinking about Texas Canyon with the rock formations. Now, isn't that a coincidence? Here is an interesting place there. I have stayed there and it is pretty unique. Nice southwest/indian museum nearby, the Amerind Foundation.

Our monsoon season is July and August, sometimes into September. Those months are hot and humid, while June is hot and dry.

I would not visit Tucson, Phoenix, Dallas nor Houston unless someone paid for my trip or I had airline connections.

I still say a outhwest Vacation" should be Sedona or Santa Fe.
