Southwest Flys from PHL starting 5/9 ?

While making SW reservations, I noticed PHL on the dropdown for cities, and then on its list of cities served.

I started trying to make reservations from PHL to various cities (MCO, TPA, MID, LAX) and found May 9 as the first date accepted.

Can we assume service (finally) starts May 9?

Your guess is correct.

I see it on a press release off their home page too.

Deals to Providence & Orlando. What a great way to get around the I-95 Corridor!

Woo hoo!! It's about time Southwest serves Philadelphia. Hopefully that will mean cheaper fares for those who fly into/out of Philly and the end of US Airways.

I can't wait as well. The 7-8hr. drive from Ohio through the mountains isn't a lot of fun and in the winter you can just rule out a trip to Philly. Now if they only offered Boston...

Sometimes it easier to fly to Providence for a trip to the Boston area. We do it all the time on SWA. Sure beats the traffic at Logan.
