Southernmost Inn, Key West?

Anyone stayed there? Also, it appears that late June is busy for reservations, and someone wrote on this forum that the Keys are wet in June.
How busy?
How rainy?

Thanks in advance

BTW, that's the one on the beach - the new one.
Thanks

Expect a short thundershower every day late afternoon.

You'll welcome them as they help to cool things off for a little while from the extreme heat and humidity.

They come in quickly and are gone within 15 minutes or so.

There are at least four 'southernmost' hotels/inns in Key West. I'm guessing you're talking about the new units at Southernmost on the Beach? I don't think they were open yet when we were down last month.

I've only been to Key West once in June, it was hot and sunny. I don't recall it being terribly busy.

Do be aware that despite the name, the beaches in Key West are not world class beaches.

Regarding the Southernmost on the beach, I remember another poster recently staying there and in their trip report, this is what they had to say.."The Southernmost on the Beach was not for us. We got a construction rate...but I am not sure it was worth it with the sqeaky wheel barrow wheel and workers yelling everywhere. Unless you have an end rooms The balconies on the side we were on did not provide that great of a view. The pools were all really cool to cold"

The Southernmost is at the other end of Old Town/Mallory square. (where the action is) I would stay in Old Town and be withing walking distance to everything.

Actually, Southernmost properties are IN Old Town, though on the Atlantic rather than the Bay/Gulf side.

Apparently the new units are lovely, but I think there may be a long way to go before completion.

If I were you, I'd check to see what stage the construction is in, and how far you'd be from it. Also, whether you'd have a waterfront view, NOT a simple water view.
