Southern U.S. BBQ Trip May 2015
Good morning
I usually post on the Europe boards but we just finished a two week road trip in the southern U.S. - Atlanta, Nashville, Asheville, Charleston and Savannah. Had a great time and I will post more details later but here are the photos

Happy travels!

Really enjoyed Daddy D'z! We thought it was much more flavourful than Fox Bros! Our favourite was Barrelhouse the Lynchburg, although my favourite BBQ sauce was at Peg Leg Porkers! Best pork sandwich was Finchers in Macon!
Had a great time sampling all the different types...appreciated them all! Only like the vinegar sauce on pulled pork, but I think that's how it is enjoyed anyway.
Can't go wrong with good BBQ!
More to come...

Many years ago, we went to and loved Fat Matt's in Atlanta. Did you make it there?
We also loved pulled pork in vinegar sauce when we were in Virginia. Even better than "red" barbecue sauce.
Doing a barbecue road trip is on our bucket list.

BigRuss - I beg to differ, as a Canadian (Canada is on your side of the pond) we do have superfluous letters in our 'ou' words...as does the UK, where I live. Do you change the spelling of your words when you post on the Europe board? What a silly comment.

Jamikins, glad to catch up with your trip to the south of the US. We just returned from a trip to Nashville, Memphis, and Little Rock, AR. We'll be following your report and, hopefully, posting a report of our trip. Really like your pics.
