Southern Maine Lodging

We will be traveling to Maine, mid-Sept. We have it narrowed to two hotels. The Normandie Motor Inn and Beau Rivage Motel. Both are in Old Orcharh Beach. If anyone knows anything about these places, please let us know which would be best. My Mom and I will be traveling together and the most important thing is that they are clean. Another possibility is the Classis Motel in Saco. Thanks.

Consider the Sea Cliff House, about a mile from Old Orchard on the less-noisy and less-touristy end of town. Very clean rooms, the website gives a nice photo that represents the room accurately. Not sure if it is in your price range but check it out

www.seacliffhouse.com

The Seacliff House looks like it is in a good price range but the reason we choose the other places was the price and they also have an indoor hot tub. Thanks

Suggest a search on the Maine Innkeepers Association website at maineinns.com. There is tons of information on lodging throughout Maine particularly the coastal towns. You will find more than enough information and links to the individual lodgings' websites.

Consider an outdoor hot tub. The weather is just great in September. You can sit in an INDOOR hottub anywhere, But you can only get that fresh Maine air while you are there on vacation. Take advantage!
You won't even NEED a hottub. Just walk on that 2 mile long beach every day and night . How refreshing!
