South Padre Island, TX Restaurant Recs?
 

DH and I are heading to South Padre for the first time on Sunday. Following is a list of restaurants found somewhere on-line--any thoughts, reviews, suggestions, additions? Thank you in advance.

Zeste -> deli, gourmet take-out
DeLuna -> seafood / steaks
Dirty Al's -> seafood
Padre Island Brewing Co.
Ted's Restaurant -> American
Amberjacks
Palmetto Inn
Scampis

We liked both Dirty Al's and Amberjacks. Be prepared for a wait at Al's-- it's a very popular, loud, and fun place with great food -- mostly fried. Last summer, Friday was karaoke night, which was pretty crazy.

It's been a while since we went to Amberjacks, so I hope it's still good. It's definitely the more upscale of the two.

We loved Amberjack's. We went after DH's day of deep-sea fishing and did their "cook your catch" option with his fish. YUMMY!

Sea Ranch was also really good.

I sure hope we see some sun while we're there. We're normally living in the land that rain forgot this time of year.
