South Padre Island for Christmas Week
 

Greetings all. We are a group of 3 families (6 adults and 5 kids, all under 18) renting a beach house on South Padre Island between Christmas and New Year's. Our house has a heated pool and is right on the beach. I was wondering what the weather is usually like at this time of the year. We've been to South Florida many times during this time of year and had temps in the 60s and 80s, despite what the average temp guide tells us. So for SPI, what can the locals tell me about the expected weather this week? Also, what''s the vibe like during this week? Very quite or alive with holiday travelers? Any insight would be very much appreciated!!
