South Carolina with adult kids for Thanksgiving week

Seeking suggestions for a weeks stay during Thanksgiving. 3 of us driving from South Florida and 1 driving from Raleigh, NC. Kids are 24 and 25.We have spent a week in Ashville for Christmas and enjoyed the attractions and especially the outdoors/hikes/waterfalls. We live by the beach in Florida, so the coast isn't a must. We would enjoy a VRBO with a fireplace, nature, museums, hikes, winery, etc Maybe even rent electric bikes, etc Suggestions? (When we stayed near Ashville, our home base was in Brevard and each day we made day trips to are attractions . We enjoyed the small town charm of Brevard.) Suggestions for South Carolina? Thanks in advance.

Beaufort, SC has lovely antebelleum homes and trees dripping with Spanish moss and a fairly lively downtown. There is the Spanish Moss Trail, a rail-trail for bicyclists and walkers, which goes to Yemasee. As the saying goes, "Beautiful Beaufort by the sea, twenty-three miles from Yemassee!" There are bike rentals in town. Twenty minutes away is 5,000-acre semi-tropical Hunting Island State Park which features he miles of white sand beach remain pristine and uncrowded, miles of hiking trails through maritime forest, fishing and a nature center.

Based on this = "We would enjoy a VRBO with a fireplace, nature, museums, hikes, winery, etc Maybe even rent electric bikes, etc Suggestions?"
I would suggest you look at the Greenville area.
The "upcountry" is more like Asheville and a contrast to the coast.

This is a good resource -

Downtown Greenville is cool, and even has a waterfall

The art museum is free and nice, although small, and is known for their Wyeth collection -

If you wanted to visit old favorites from Brevard, it's a little more than an hour away - as is Asheville.

There are wineries in the area

There are plenty of hiking and waterfall options for day trip activities.

I was curious about the white water rafting on the Chattooga, but that ends in October.

If you want something different than a coastal vacation, I'd recommend the upcountry of SC - and the Greenville area is a good place to start looking.
