South Beach Restaurant Advice
Just back from 4 nights of relaxing on So Beach. Stayed at The National, again. Love this hotel and the pool. Had dinner in their restaurant, Tamara, it was outstanding. Also ate at Emeril's, very good and A Fish Called Avalon, great as well. Had a fun time at Lario's, food was ok. Weather was perfect.

I will be in South Beach in a couple of week's and am thinking of going to Emeril's (previously ate at two of his restaurants in Las Vegas, which were both good). Did you have reservations and, if so, how far in advance did you make them? Also is it easy to get to.

nohomers: Emeril's South Beach restaurant is in the Loews, at Collins and 16th. Location-wise, easy to get to. Don't know how far in advance you can get reservations, but I generally use the concierge at the hotel I'm staying at to make dinner reservations, and can always get into the hottest places (including THE best place in South Beach IMHO, Wish at the Hotel, Collins and 8th).

I took the advice of rjw_lgb_ca and ate at Wish. My wife and I had a great time the food was very good, service outstanding and nice atmosphere. Also ate at Nemo and Emeril's. All three restaurants wre good but Wish was the best by far. Thank you rjw_lgb_ca.

nohomers: You're very welcome! And thank you for the update on current high-end eateries. I'm looking forward to my Big Birthday Dinner at Wish-- and may also hit Azul while we're in town. Emeril's is also on the list...!
