South Beach, Florida Hotel Help

We are looking for a South beach, Florida hotel under $200/night for 3 nights located near or on the beach, with a pool and close to all the activities there. Any recommendations? We will have our 9 & 11 year old with us. Is there enough to do in this area for 2 days without a car? Thanks for all help.

Thanks to a post here at Fodors, we stayed at a nice hotel called South Seas which is on 17th and Collins. This is a few blocks north of the main South Beach activity (about a 10 minute walk. It is very close to Lincoln Road Mall which is a great outside pedestrian mall. South Seas is a moderately priced hotel located directly on the beach and has a nice pool. Breakfast was included with the room. It is not a fancy hotel but had a nice clean room and the management was very friendly. We paid $100 a night but the regular rates appeared to be closer to $150 per night.<BR>It has a website. Yes, I believe you will have enough to do for two days.

My daughter and her friends stayed at the Roney Palace Hotel and it was amazing. I think it might be part condo and part hotel. Very luxurious and it was fairly reasonable for their group.

You might try looking at quikbook.com. The last time I checked they had very good rates for a few south beach properties.
