South Beach Dance Club ?
 

If you were a 45ish couple and were to go out one night only to the clubs on South Beach...which one would it be? Have never been to Miami before . Also, any advice on upscale lounges?

Go to the Delano for an upscale experience. Very posh. For a club, try Mansion or Club Opium. There is also Snatch, which is the hottest club there. Don't get in line or you will wait forever. Walk straight up to the bouncer and tell him you are with the Michael Capponi party. They will wisk you in immediately. As an older couple, they will think you are super rich and you are in like flint.

He is South Beach's famous promotor. Clubs hire him to promote. Even if he is not there, they will still push you ahead of the crowd and maybe ask you to pay cover. Just remember, no self respecting South Beacher waits in line. hehe.

I think that Miami is not really a great place to stay at. I would stay in Fort Lauderdale at the Atlantic Hotel on AIA. You are midway between Delray and Miami, so you can easily go to both. Delray has more of what you are looking for. You could even stay there at the Marriott on Atlantic ave. Median age is 35 and all clubs are open and welcoming. You will meet very nice couples and have a great time in Delray. There is no cover, no pretention. In Miami, the average age is 23 and it's ridden with crime. If it were me, I would stay in Delray or Fort Lauderdale. Much more to see, a better time, and safe. I am 41 and I still go out, but Miami is just not that much fun.
