They have great soup! It comes with a piece of bread, a piece of fruit an a candy--at least the last time I was there. They are not open on weekends or in the summer.<BR>Located on the north side of 55th between 8th and B'way.<BR>The "rules" for ordering are posted on a sign--fo;;ow them or "NO SOUP FOR YOU"<BR>

If you don't mind eating overpriced soup from a cardboard cup using a plastic spoon while standing on the sidewalk go for it. The power of a tv sitcom.

To compare things a bit: I've just been to San Antonio, where they just opened the first Krispy Kreme store in town a month ago.<BR><BR>We drove by it at 1:30am, the line on the drive thru window was AT LEAST 45-50 cars.<BR><BR>This would be the power of what??

Power of sugar!!!! Hahahahaha- I need a fix, bad!!!<BR><BR>Actually, wasn't soup kitchin popular BEFORE Seinfeld? That's kinda why they had the wacky rules and how it ended up in the show to begin with, no?<BR><BR>http://www.therealsoupman.com/

40 or 50 cars in line to purchase a donut. Either the people wHo live in San Antonio have nothing better to do or it is the power of idiocy. THe Krispy Kreme donut is good but not worth waiting in a long line to make a purchase. Another thought - what was the cost of the gas wasted while waiting to make the purchase?

You can't ever use anything involving Texas for comparative purposes, unless you're comparing Dallas to Houston or something else internal.

Are you saying Texas is backward when compared to the rest of the country? What a joke!
