Sonoma Recommended Tours & Oct or Nov?
My husband and I are planning a 3-4 day trip to Sonoma. We are open to going in October or November. Has anyone ever been during those months and would you have a recommendation which is a better time to go? We also want to stay somewhere or contact a planned tour group or driver for the day to take us to different wineries. We don't want to plan which wineries to stop at, but want to have that part of the itinerary done for us. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Agree about October - the weather is often spectacular in October, and by November can possibly be drearier and wetter. Sorry, but I don't know anything about tours up there. I do, however, remember that someone posted something similar in the last six months or so -- try searching trip reports.

Yes, the first seasonal rains in Sonoma County usually start around the end of October (there is usually no rain at all between June and the end of October). No guarantees of course, but October would be less likely to have rainy days. Early October may even be hot.
