Sonoma Coast winery suggestions needed

We're planning our fall trip to Sonoma County and I'd like to stretch our knowledge base to include more of the wineries in the "Sonoma Coast" region. Can anyone make suggestions for the area between Petaluma and Bodega Bay? I'm looking for the "unknown" places that may lie west of 116 , in towns like Freestone and Valley Ford.
We are thinking of taking a scenic/semi-coastal track from SFO to Armstrong Preserve to start the trip with something new, no particular wines in mind, just interesting stories and nice places to stop along the way.
If you know of any "cool" things to see, please share..we love Sonoma, but its not always about the wine...we appreciate other interesting aspects of the area, too.
thanks

Thanks Rastaguy'. This is a good tool. Do you have experience with any of these wineries or their wine?

I have only tasted the Kosta Browne wine, but the latest Wine Spectator gives 94 or higher scores to Sonoma Coast wines from
Kanzler, Marcassin and Peter Michal.
Personal choices run more to Russian River Valley of Rochioli, "J", nd Williams Salyem.

Thanks, boom_boom. I have not heard of Kanzler or Marcassin before...and I don't see either on the lists I've found. Do you happen to know if either/both is located south of Bodega Bay?

I've probably tasted every wine in the region, except the ones that are high high $$$$$.

You might also want to check out Occidental. An old funky place.

You might want to check out Bistro des Copains for an exceptional meal. The best restaurant, by far, in the area.

Don't know where the Marcassin winery is, but Kanzler is in Sebastopol.
