Sonoma, CA
My husband and I are taking our first trip to "Wine Country" in May. We're looking forward to leaving the snow in Boston behind. I have booked the Inn at Sonoma, which I understand is fairly new. Has anyone stayed there? Any insight would be appreciated.

I have stayed there and it is very nice but not worth the price!!!!

Thanks for your reply. I had been told that the Four Sisters Inns were really nice. Maybe we'll rethink our choice. Any suggestions?.........

I was at first confusing this with the Sonoma Mission Inn because I hadn't heard of the Inn at Sonoma. I see by their website that it is a new addition to the Four Sisters Inns. It looks nice, I'm curious what the rates are? The website has limited information. It is a good location too, near the Sonoma Square. Anyone have more info?

The rate they gave me for May was approx. $195 for their large room--I'm just not sure after retired_readytogo's reply if I should change to another inn. I had thought the $195 was a pretty good rate after seeing the rates of some of the other inns in the area.
That's a pretty slim bit of information from retired_readytogo for you to cancel your plans! Hopefully someone else can give you more info. I also always look at tripadvisor.com for hotel reviews, but unfortunately there isn't a review of this new hotel there yet. $195 does seem like a fair deal for this location.

Pennyoh, we're also going to Sonoma wine country in May, but staying in SF and doing day trip. Healdsburg area is supposed to be very nice also.

Here's a link I found on Fodors for wineries and stuff in the area. Click on the "lodgings" tab.

http://www.wineroad.com/maps/

Enjoy!!
