GREAT job on these photos -- mahalo for sharing!

Those caves at Maha`ulepu are home to some very special, only-on-Kaua`i spiders which were discovered just a few years ago. Their presence -- as an endangered species -- may help in the fight to prevent development of the area. Yay!

Songdoc, the pix are beautiful -- glad you could finally get them posted! Now, do you have any pix of the actual condo (not just the magnificent view FROM the condo)?

Wow.. love the photos Songdoc. I went to Hawaii many moons ago (Lanai, Maui, and Oahu); your pics really make me want to check out Kauai.

I don't know if you receive our newsletter, but we highlighted your trip report this week. Your title was worth a chuckle.

Did you already say what camera you use?

Awesome, I love the lighthouse view, it made me feel like I was there! Now, where did you get the Robo-surfer? My kids would LOVE it! I am in Canada and have not seen this before.

Songdoc, I've never been to Hawaii, and your picks make me want to go :)

Thank you all so much for your super kind comments. It makes the HELL I went through posting the pix worth it ... um, er ... mostly :-).

Some responses ...

I'm SO thrilled and honored to have my report included under "Travel Talk." Katie, thanks so much for letting me know!

I LOVED that robotic surfer, too. He was incredible--mimicking everything a live surfer could do. Unfortunately, he wasn't mine :-(. I was just watching from the shore. I'm guessing you could find where to buy one by "Googling."

My camera's nothing special -- a digital Kodak 7630 with 5 mega-pixels. I think the secret is taking lots of pictures (in a drop-dead gorgeous setting) -- and posting only the very best. FYI, I posted (35) favorite shots -- out of about (200).

Re: pix of inside the condo ... you can see that if you go to www.nakearentals.com. The inside was nice and comfy -- no complaints and just perfect for us. But it's not 5-star luxury. That setting and view were far more important to me than the inside.

Again, Mahalo for your comments.
