There is now a Defonte's on Third Ave and 21 St. It is has limited seating. The one in Red Hook, Brooklyn is a pain to reach on public transportation.

Thanks, Aduchamp.

ellenem has a good point on pay-what-you-wish museums, which is routinely true for the Met, Cloisters, and Natural History Museum, three excellent NYC options that are often on tourist "must visit" lists. You can indeed just go up to the admission counter and say "I understand you have a pay-what-you-wish policy, and I want to pay a dollar" and get in -- the worst of it is that you might get a dirty look from the attendant. If you're thinking of buying this pass, do some research on the actual prices of the things you plan to see, then determine if the New York Pass is worth getting.

>>cat, I think the first one you linked to would probably be better. Why don't you start a new thread to talk about these passes? <<

Good idea, starrs. Thanks!

If you like HOHO buses because of the tour guides, do let the City know because the company is trying to replace the tour guides with tapes.

"If you like HOHO buses because of the tour guides"

I don't remember anyone saying they liked HOHO because of the tour guides. Someone may very well have said that and I missed it. But I don't remember reading that.

I said it, starrs. NOt in so many words, but that is exactly what I meant. Tapes would be awful!
