Sofitel or Millenium in NYC?
 

which one would you like best?<BR>we like nice rooms with great location to Time Square, Central Park and Rockerfeller Center.<BR>We stayed at the Crowne Plaza last year on Time Square and liked it, but we want to try something different this time.<BR>Any suggestions?

Sofitel is a hole. i'd go with millenium. great location, but not right on b'way. nice rooms. good service.

I absolutely loved loved loved the Sofitel. I mean, I LOVED it.<BR><BR>It's classy and comfortable french hotel. Not stuffy - so don't get caught off guard by &quot;french.&quot; <BR><BR>It's nice and quiet and away from the immediate Time Square, but close enough so that you can join the fracas when you want to.<BR><BR>The room service was like eating a gourmet meal. The staff was so friendly, always aying &quot;Bonjour!&quot; &quot;Bon Soir!&quot; <BR><BR>Should I go on? OK!<BR><BR>The bathrooms were pristine! Marble, of course, with separate shower and tub. Great bath products too.<BR><BR>The furniture, in all, was very tasteful and clean. Modern, and comfy. They're also pretty high tech. You can access the internet via Web tv, last I was there.<BR><BR>I will never ever stay at the Millenium, Hilton, W, Gramercy Park, etc. AGAIN. NEVER AGAIN. I'm a loyal fan of the Sofitel forever.<BR><BR>Let us know what you decide! <BR><BR>

Um, ss, care to clarify what is so &quot;holeish&quot; about the Sofitel? It's a high caliber hotel. <BR><BR>Carmen, do a seach for &quot;Millenium&quot; on this board and you'll find terrible horror stories about noise, small rooms, etc.

Try the City Club hotel on 44th. New and different. Has one of Daniel Boulod's restaurants.
