Snorkling off Cape cod

We are playing a trip to the Cape should we pack the snorkling gear including the flippers or should I leave them home

I would say leave them home. You won't see any fish unless you swim out very deep (not safe). You'll only see alot of rocks and seaweed.....unless you want to try your luck in Boston harbor - - probably find a few thousand cars and maybe a few mob bosses!

cape cod was for walking and boating the water but definitely not for snorkeling. akumal mexico or the cayman islands are the best places to snorkel.

No real snorkeling in New England. There are no reefs. Leave the equipment at home. Depending on surf, you maybe could body surf or boogie board depending on where you'll be. Keep in mind that the water will be in the 60's at best and maybe colder.
