We picked up very decent U.S. Divers snorkel gear from a sporting goods store while it was on sale at a cost of $80 per person. It would have cost us far more to rent at the going rates where we were in Jamaica. (I also could have sold it for what we paid at the end of our trip, but I was looking forward to using it again.)
