Snakes on a plane, now Scorpions!?

I may never be able to fly again without a biohazard suit on :(

After a trip to Nevis, at the St Martin airport on the way back, the American Airlines employee who searched my luggage was surprised by a large scorpion which popped up from between my nighties!

(I'm amazed I did not get stung when I was packing.)

He hastily shut my suitcase, waved me through, and left me to deal with it when we got home.

My husband and I put the suitcase in the driveway, he put on gloves and I got kitchen tongs, and we got a plastic pitcher to clap over it if it tried to scuttle off.

Very anticlimactic scene when it turned up very dead and very dessicated in the bottom of the piece-by-piece unpacked suitcase.

Oh Diana, you have me shuddering and wanting to hop around ...lol

"Oh Diana, you have me shuddering and wanting to hop around ...lol"

Haha, I sometimes have that effect on people. :>

I felt that way when I knew I had PICKED IT UP at some point in packing.

We also brought home a beautiful red-eyed sucker-footed tree frog by accident from a Mexican dive adventure.

I have a total frog phobia and just about had a complete heart attack when it jumped out of my regulator case and hopped off the porch into the grape arbor.

I hope we have not singlehandedly threatened the amphibian population of N.C. :O

OMG!

Scarlett, given some of the other threads about airplanes and body fluids, I'm going to have to agree with you. But scorpions! What next, snakes?
