SNA to Santa Moncia, how long will the drive take on Sat at 5:30 PM?

Just a few more days and I'll quit bugging all you California experts! We're leaving Saturday! We get to SNA at 5:20 and pick up our rental. Then we're off to Santa Monica. Generally, how long should it take us at that time of the evening? I realize there are no guarantees, I just want an idea. I'm just trying to prepare the troops!

Thanks again for all your help these past few weeks.

If you're lucky,my guess would be 45 minutes, but thats with no traffic. And there will probably be at least a little slowing by LAX...
You should be there in an hour and 20 minutes, for sure, unless traffic is really bad.

Thanks, frankie! That's just what I needed to know.

I might guess a few minutes longer. Listen to KNX 1040 on your rented radio, they do traffic every six minutes.
P.S. Getting caught in traffic ain't that bad, relax you're in California.

I think KNX is 1070 on AM not 1040. There is also KFWB which also does traffic every 10 minutes and it is on AM also.
