Smoky Conditions In Denali, ANC, and/or Kenai August 2018?
Sorry if this is a repeat of another post, but I only have a day or two to change or cancel my plans.
can anybody confirm whether wildfires are making Denali, Anchorage, and/or Kenai smoky? We’re considering a trip there from August 26 to about Sep 7. This would mainly be a photography trip so if everything’s hazy from fires it wouldn’t be worth our time or $$.
I found a map showing current fires in Alaska, but it’s a really big state and I can’t tell how far the smoke might spread. I’m leaning toward thinking we shouldn’t go at this time, but I’d love it if somebody who is actually there could confirm the conditions.
