I must live in the country :-) There are so many of us in this area of NY that don't have public water. Lots of us have wells. Well water although fine for showering and washing clothes is not always desireable for drinking.
Must be a good Jeff Foxworthy line here - You know you're a redneck when...
(Help me out here fodies).

Sorry about hijacking your thread happygypsy. Hope we did answer your question though :-)

happygypsy, a travel agent once told my mom to bring a weeks worth of water on her cruise, as well as snacks. I told her this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. The ship's water is clean, and taking food on a cruise is like taking salt water to the beach. As LoveItaly said, bad advice is given all too often, but it especially irks me when it comes from a travel agent or someone who s/b in the know. Just buy your stuff when you get there.

I was surprised to find even suntan lotion cheaper in Hawaii then at home.

happygypsy, I'm glad you have a sense of humor. :-)

glad you let all the silliness roll off your back! (However: do take a large empty pill bottle and put aspirin, pepto, vitamins, sinus stuff, whatever you might want just a few of...you can wash it down with any water you chose!)

happygypsy, what is the name of this oahu travel site so we can all (virtually) storm over there with our tar, feathers, and pitchforks?

((6))

Why, I'll bet the site even recommends you not interact with anyone you meet on the internet!

>>>Why, I'll bet the site even recommends you not interact with anyone you meet on the internet!<<<

Are we really allowed to interact with people we meet on the internet? But what about all those warnings on the news? I'd NEVER do that! :-O
