Yes, Fruitlands Museum is interesting; nearby Tower Hill Botanic Garden is very nice too.

Fruitlands Museum and Orchard House in Concord would make a good combo if one's interested in the Alcotts.

Gropius House is one of my favorite places to visit in MA. I must admit that I first learned about it right here on Fodors!

for Alcott history you could also add in the Wayside which is right next to the Orchard House (part of the Minuteman National Historic site so tours are led by rangers). The Alcotts lived there for a while before Orchard House, and Hawthorne supposedly took off out the back of the house to escape Bronson Alcott's neighborly visits.
