Sled Dogs - Which place?

We will want to see one of the places with sled dogs. Would you suggest Jeff King near Denali or Seavey's at Seward? Plan to be at both areas. Other? I see these 2 are very close in price. Holding puppies would be nice but I think the summer sled dog ride would be even better. I need suggestions. Prefer not to spend a whole lot of time. Thx.

I don't know anything about Jeff King, but we visited the Seavey's place. Our daughter, age 7 at the time, LOVED the puppies. She got to hold them etc. The sled on wheels was fun as was learning about the sport & the dogs.

Hope this helps.

We visited Seavey's in Seward in July 2004 - LOVED it! (and I'm not a dog lover). Worth every penny - go you'll enjoy it! :)PamT

Here's another vote for Mich Seavey's. We were there many yrs ago and loved the ride and holding the puppies and meeting his family. You know he won the Ididerod either last year or the year before that.

Yet another plug for Seavey's. It was so much fun. They had a tiny new born that we got to see, and some puppies in the pen where we got to go inside and play and pet. The ride was so fun. And they gave a very great talk all about the race and the dogs and how the grandfather started the kennel. Strongly recommend!!!!!!!

Seavey's was great, was not long and boring either, they had puppies and even had one of the dogs from the movie Eight-Below. Would recommend it highly.

I went to Jeff King's and it was very good. They also had puppies to hold, as well as an interesting demonstration of what it is like to run the Iditarod.
