sled dogs

can someone tell me if they think it's work taking the sled dog ride in Seward. Was it worth the time spent and what companies would you recommend? thank you

IF you are interested in sled dogs, Seward is the best place for cart rides with Seavey's. http://www.ididaride.com/about.html

If you want a glacier dog sled ride ON snow, there is Godwin's out of Seward also an excellent long established company. http://www.alaskadogsled.com/

Ididaride is 1 1/2 hours and costs $44. It is located on the road to Exit Glacier. They give you the background on the race, you learn about the dogs, and then take a short ride on a sled with wheels on it. I think if you like dogs you would like it, especially the part where you get to play with the puppies. The Godwin experience where they fly you to the glacier and you ride on an actual sled on snow I think would be awesome. However, it does cost about $350.

Mitch Seavey of the IdidaRide Sled Dog Tours won the Iditarod this year

I've heard they have sled dogs in Denali too, but does Denali offer rides?

NO Denali Park is a sled dog demo only. But there are many private sled dog owner's in the area who give "rides".
