Most of the western resorts should still be in full operation then, but the New England areas will likely be closed unless we have a very, very good year.

Mammoth Mountain in the eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains is pretty much always open that late. Many years you may be able to ski on the 4th of July. (htough the conditions are not good it's the novelty)

I was skiing last year in late April at Jay Peak in northern Vermont and conditions were fantastic. Many other Vermont areas had already closed or were open weekends only. Jay received over 500 inches of snow last year - a bit more than average. Killington is almost always open until early may and is a bit easier to reach. Killington is typically more crowded but nearly all these areas are uncrowded in late spring.

You can ski on the glacier at Blackcomb, Canada until July.

Hi Mike! Most of the Utah resorts are still open in April. Skiing at Snowbird in April is the BEST! No crowds, great snow, and warm sunny days. Bring your Hawaiian shirt & lots of sunscreen. Seriously, April is the second biggest snowfall month in Utah, but shush, don't tell....
