Skiing - Jiminy Peak vs. Catamount

Hi. What can you all tell me about these two ski resorts? My sons (9 & 11) and I are either considered advanced-beginners or beginner-intermediate skiers. My husband's an expert skier.

Catamount is a bit closer to us in Phila, but we are willing to drive a bit farther if Jiminy Peak is noticeably better.

Any thoughts?

No Berkshire skiers out there?

I am familiar with skiing at both Jiminy and Catamount often, and have some suggestions. Catamount is usually less crowded and has a longest run of 2.5 miles, compared to Jiminy's 2.0 mile longest run. Jiminy is bigger in general though, and even though it's more crowded, they manage crowds very well.

Jiminy is definitely a lot bigger and better. It also has a lot more varied terrain for all abilities. Its worth the extra drive. Its only an extra 45 minutes or so so its worth it.
