Skiing at Angel Fire or Sandia?

Can anyone comment on skiing at Angel Fire or Sandia?

Hi there, <BR>I have never skied either mountain. However, I can tell you that Sandia is really small--but close to Albuquerque, whereas Angel Fire is a bigger resort. I would definatly choose Angel Fire--it's close to Taos too, so you can ski both.

Not only do you have the option of skiing Taos at Angel Fire but also Red River Ski Area, also. The drive from Angel Fire to Taos is not the best but if you are desparate to say you've skiied Taos then go! Taos is fun to browse around in. Sante Fe used to have a pretty good ski area too.

Native New Mexican here weighing in for Angel Fire. Sandia doesn't always get enough snow. I was reading a skiing article in the paper this past weekend. Apparently Angel Fire is adding some high speed quads to it's collection of lifts.

Thanks for the info re:Angel Fire and Sandia. We were planning a trip in early Dec. but have been told they do not have snow yet. What are conditions usually like that time of year?
