Ski Pico?
 

Has anyone ever skied Pico Mountain? We are looking to go the last weekend in February. Any lodging opinions on places to stay. How about good restaurants in the area. Thanks!

Pico is a small mt close to and owned by Killington. Go to www.killington.com. There is lots of info there. If by the last weekend in Feb you mean the weekend of the 22nd, be aware that that is the end of Feb school vacation week in New England and all ski areas will be completely mobbed and good reservations may be hard to come by.

I haven't skiied there in a few years, but I remember it as a great medium sized mountain, just west of Killington. It's now owned by Killington, so I hope it hasn't lost it's 'non touristy' feel. Since it's right next to Killington, there are literally dozens of dining and lodging options nearby. If you want really good Italian food, try Three Tomatoes in downtown Rutland.

Yes, lodging reservations might be easier to come by and less expensive in Rutland that time of year. Clems on Center street or the Midway diner on South Main for breakfast, Sals on West Street in Rutland for Italian, The Pyramid Wellness Center also on West Street for a massage or an hour in their super-relaxing "salt-cave", truely a unique experience!
