Sites that save you cash when traveling.
I am looking to compile a list of great websites that help save people like you and I some cash when traveling. While I love my Fodor's, I am looking for sites that are constantly hunting down good deals.
Here are two that I can contribute to this discussion right off the bat: Kayak.com AirFareWatchdog.com What else is out there and also what you you think of the sites I mentioned. I love the blogs on AirfareWatchdog.com. |
I like both of the sites you mentioned. Also add SmarterTravel.com to that list.
|
Priceline, provided that you completely understtd the rules and strategies can be great, particularly with hotels. I've never used it for airfare because I'm generally not that flexible there.
|
I just want to add, that Priceline "Name your own price" is the way to go. Their published rates are nothing special.
|
I agree with Priceline.com
I have "bid" on many hotels and received more than half off at times. I even used it for flights (when flexible) to Chicago, Zurich and Rome. |
Add Quickbook.com and travelzoo.
|
Ah nice...never used Quikbook.com
Will have to check it out. I agree with Maggie, that AirFare site's blog is updated frequently throughout the day with breaking news in the airline industry and airfare sales. Plus you can leave comments. Woo hoo! |
Great sites so far.
Keep them coming! |
