Sites Around the Franklin Institute

My DH and I are taking a day trip to Philly on Sat. specifically to check out the King Tut exhibit at the Franklin Institute. We are from DC so we don't feel the urge to see everything there is to see in Philly (which would take way more than a day!) We plan to park at the Franklin Institute, see the exhibit and then walk around the area for the afternoon and leave in the evening. We don't think we will have enough time to make it to the liberty bell and the historic sites in the Independence Mall area.

Can anyone give us suggestions of things to do around Franklin Institute?

When my family went to Philadelphia, we parked at the Franklin Institute and my husband and sons spent the day there while I walked to the art museum for a quiet day of art!

Either the Philadelphia Museum of Art, or the Rodin Museum.

Yes...the Phila. Art Museum and Rodin are great suggestions.
