site 59 Has anyone booked through them?

I just discovered site59.com which sells last-minute long-weekend packages (hotel and air) We frequently do this type of travel. Has anyone ever booked through them and do you have any comments or complaints? Thanks!

Linda,

My hubby and I booked a trip through them last summer to Maine. They seem to be a reputable company and we had no problems. We just did the air and car package so I'm not familar with any of their hotels.

Happy Travels!!

Cindy

Travelocity and several of the other online travel agencies seem to outsource to Site 59 for their last-minute deals.

I'm also thinking about trying one of their pkges. at some point, such as on a Thursday during the winter if I hear there is snow or very cold weather in the forecast for the next few days it would be great to escape the tropics for a long weekend.

Just booked a last minute trip for my sister last weekend through site 59 to San Francisco, who decided last minute to attend a wedding with my brother-in-law, who had made earlier travel plans. The good thing about the site is the ability to pick out the flight times, something that cannot be done, for example, on hotwire or Priceline. Although thouse companies MAY have been able to get better prices on the airfare and car rental, the flexibility of knowing when the flghts were, especially on a short, 3 day trip, outweighted getting the lowest possible price. Additionally, air booked through site59 qualifies for frequent mileage programs, something the bidding sites do nt allow. My sister reported evrything was fine, and although her retur flight was not the exact same flight as her husbandit was close enough so that the wiated for each other at the airport. All and all, a good experience with site59, and she save about $200-$300 veres ooking the same flights anywhere else.

I haven't used them yet, but the Northwest Airlines site is now offering a direct portal for late-breaking deals through Site 59. I would expect them to be pretty solid and the deals are worth looking at, too.
