Suze , read above post .... I had allready responded to the OP , that was an example for others how a response could perhaps be simplified without judging her , or telling her that her child would be a sissy , or living in her basement at 40 etc. etc.

oh i understand that it is your example of what you think the rest of us should say to be nicer posters.
but fact remains we have no way to know about her son's safety. why would we assure her everything would be fine? how would you feel if you posted that and something horrible happened?

Suze .... I'm beating my head against a brick wall or what ???? That was a phrase I put in that particular post , in the context of that particular post, to try to explain that peoples comments (some not all ) could have been simplified . It was not what I advised her , not what I wanted people to write word for word , it was an example . You did in fact state that you thought he was old enough by a couple of years to go in the mens restroom alone ...???
